so, we're in the middle of the festive season & it is new years eve tomorrow. i can not believe it!
i dunno about you, but i am now on holidays for 3 days, which means i am gourging myself on chrissy leftovers while simultaneously playing with pressies & trying to clean up the chaos that still remains from christmas day!
where's the last of the posh blue vein chesse? i decided it wouldn't possibly last until the 1st of january- so i ate it for breakfast! :)

how are your christmas holidays going?

when i was younger a trip to church & the opportunity to show off one's respective haul of presents to the congregation was always a feature of christmas day. as i was working & didn't make it to church, i've decided to show off some of my goodies to the camelia sisters' cyber community instead! :) what did you score under the christmas tree?

it has been a supa busy week- lots of meetings, baking, eating, visiting, eating, crafting, eating....lots of 'ings' really! :)

last night was loads of fun!

trivia night was fab! the opportunity to  whip  the mothballs off my fav fab frock, dab on some glitter &  'glam up' with pals doesn't happen too often. so, as you can imagine, i was looking forward to last night's proceedings. loads of yummy food, bubbles, M&Ms & fab company- what more could a girl ask for?! :)  plus the added bonus that my awesome team won ! yippee! :)
but more importantly, loads of money was raised for kinder

so this morning i've been reveling in the warm fuzzy glow that i am sure accompanys all champions after a big win! :) 

i've devoured a significant portion of my chocolates, after admiting that lazza is right, and that it is indeed far too early to crack open the wine! 

after finally dragging myself away from the mini crunchies,  i hung with the chooks for a bit, with some toast and chai. 

even my crook toe got in on the action last night with some 'barbie pink' varnish!

snapshots & giggles

well, i read somewhere about a personal project a woman began. she captured on film an image everyday of an event/object/person that filled her with happiness or made her laugh. she took these snapshots for a year & constantly went through them & reflected on them as the days rolled by.
i really love the idea.
this is my photo for today. it was actually taken, by me, on my birthday earlier this year. somehow it kind got mixed up & missed in the whole download process from camera to laptop, so as a result i only just discovered it today.

i stumbled into kit cosmetics on the weekend. it was part of my perpetual search for the perfect lipgloss.
the store is fab! so many choices, so much cool stuff & best of all- loads of free samples! :)
grabbed a new lip gloss after experimenting with loads. let's see how my funky 'lipstick queen' number performs.

can not believe it is june already!

i read an article recently about a woman who took time out each day, for one year, to capture on film something that made her happy. i love the idea, but added my own take to it. well, lets be honest, i cheated. rather than taking one photo each day for the last couple of days, i snapped three!

what makes me happy? autumn ( although techincally it is winter!) leaves in melboune.

happiness is...

grabbed vegies the other day & the dude in the fruit shop popped them into a paper bag.
it was one of those occasions where i had run in for one item & come out with a bag full.
the paper bag, it made me feel happy!

not a coincidence that the bag is placed next to me birthday pressies!- they made me happy too! :)
